Peter Drivas is a transplanted New Yorker who moved to Orange County where he raised his family. After his children went off to college Peter wanted to return to city living, so he moved to downtown Los Angeles and opened an office there.
Inspired by the energy of downtown LA, he wanted to capture the past coming alive with the beauty of the present and thought it would be exciting to do a photo essay of downtown LA. His images represent a stylized approach to the beauty, and power that is Los Angeles.
Peter has also started a nonprofit foundation: Los Angeles Arts Alliance whereby money is raised to promote Art & Culture in Los Angeles among young people and artists.
Peter feels we should all give back to the place where we live, work or play, and hopes his photos inspire and bring a sense of comfort to those who see his work.
